Abstract

For successful operation of an enterprise in modern conditions of strategic development, it is necessary to maintain a certain level of its competitiveness, which is achieved by systematically increasing its competitive potential. The formation and maintenance of competitive potential affects the entire mechanism of the enterprise’s activities related to the technological chain and interaction with partners. At the
same time, in conditions of intensified competition, the most sustainable way is to ensure competitive advantages based on the use of innovations. The purpose of the work is to identify factors and potentials that influence the competitive potential of an enterprise. The research is based on a systematic approach. The methodological basis of the research consists of general scientific methods of cognition, methods of logical analysis, generalization and systematization; economic-analytical, qualitative and quantitative assessment methods. The authors conducted a survey, the main purpose of which is to identify the most significant types of competitive potential for the functioning of the enterprise and the weight of each in the overall structure is determined. Private potentials are divided into some levels (A, B, C) in accordance with the development needs of the company. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the presented basic provisions expand and deepen the understanding of the competitive potential of an enterprise in terms of its level structuring and development as a whole.
